Hammer-on and Pull-off Lesson #2 - 3 note per string scales
This is the second in our legato series...you can find part #1 here(it's #4 on my site but the first of the legato lessons):
Technique Lesson #4 - Hammer-on's and Pull-off's.
The only thing we are really working on here is getting our hammer-on's and pull-off's consistent and in time. Remember that this is just another way to articulate a melody...it needs to be in time as much as anything else!
We have three common 3-note-per-string finger combinations to practice and the we are just going up and down a major scale in eighth notes and triplets and then a minor scale in eighth notes and triplets. This is a very simple lesson but I really want you to focus on getting these exercises clean and in time.

You have a good point with the fingers. It is very easy to use your fingers wrong and not be able to stretch right.
