In this lesson we are just learning a few different ways to play blues in a minor key.  I have 3 variations on a typical 12 bar minor blues.  If you have been through my previous lessons on blues progressions this should be easy.  If not, then you should work through the other blues lessons before attempting this one!

Click here for the "Blues" lesson section on my website.

Remember that lower case Roman Numerals ( i, iv, v) denote minor chords and upper case Roman Numerals (I, IV, V, bVI) are major chords

Lets memorize each chord progression:

Variation 1

i Chord for four measures

iv Chord for two measures

i Chord for two measures

v Chord for one measure

iv Chord for one measure

i Chord for two measures

Variation 2

i Chord for four measures

iv Chord for two measures

i Chord for two measures

bVI Chord for one measure

V Chord for one measure

i Chord for two measures

Variation 3

i Chord for four measures

iv Chord for two measures

i Chord for two measures

V Chord for one measure

iv Chord for one measure

i Chord for two measures
