I think the open position often gets neglected, as players usually make use of the fretted caged positions further up.
Also, these type of open E licks in conjunction with the E shuffle rhythm part in the previous lesson can sound great on an acoustic as solo blues, where you play a bit of the shuffle rhythm, then play some licks like the ones here.
Only thing is that it might be difficult to do full bends on an acoustic. Reply to this
